Frequently Asked Questions
How can we produce a professional looking reel at such a low price?
We expedite our reels by using multiple writers, directors, and producers. We do optional group shoots to save you money.
Why shoot scenes for a reel VS. using footage from student films?
Most actors use footage from student films and whatever extra work they have done. The problem is that casting directors and agents don't want to see meteocre work from college films. They want to see that you have worked on proffesional film sets, and they want to see just your dialogue. So if you an extra in a film with Sandra Bullock, but you have no dialogue, sorry, but its not going to get you any credit with casting directors. Why wait months to get footage back from student films, just to pay an editor to put it all together. For a couple extra bucks, you can give casting directors and agents a product they can't say no to.
How Does your Payment Process work?
We take a $100 downpayment to write the scenes and require the remaining payment the day of the shoot.
How long should I prepare before I shoot?
Take some time to explore your character. Don't just memorize the scene, become the scene. Become your character. Your reel is a tool to make you money, take it seriously. Normally actors take about two weeks.
Why should I get a reel?
Film is a fast paced industry, send a headshot in and you'll be lucky to get a quick glance from a casting agent, but if you send a reel in, your more likely to get viewed. Casting directors and agents on LA Casting and Actors Access get hundreds of headshots everyday, most get passed up. It is a proven statistic that actors with good reels have a better shot of getting gigs. If your a serious actor you need a serious reel.
